What's New at Anchor Medical

A look at what we're improving, and what's coming next

By Jeremy Bidgood

You may have noticed a few things changing at Anchor Medical recently.

Over the past several months, we've been rebuilding our website, refreshing the information we share about our clinics and services, and laying the groundwork for some new things you'll see over the coming weeks. This article is a quick rundown of what's already in place, what's coming, and how to stay across it all.

Wearing my operations hat as much as my finance one, I've been leading much of this work alongside the team. We've tried to keep one thing front of centre: making it easier for you to find what you need, book what you need, and trust the information you find here.

What's new on the website

The website rebuild touches every part of our online presence. Some of the changes you'll have seen include:

  • A refreshed homepage at each of our clinics — clearer navigation, faster pages, and a more accurate picture of what each location offers.
  • Dedicated service pages for the things patients most often ask about, including travel vaccinations, workplace health, and skin checks. Each service page covers what's available, what's involved, and how to book.
  • Better mobile experience — over 70% of our visitors come from phones, so we've prioritised making every page work cleanly on small screens.
  • Doctor profiles with proper bios, qualifications, and special interests, so you can find the GP who's the right fit for what you need.
  • Articles like this one — a regular series of health information, written for patients and updated weekly.

There's more under the hood — better security, faster load times, improved accessibility — but those are the changes you'll actually see.

New Services

Alongside the website work, we're expanding what's available across our clinics:

To start, Anchor Corporate Health is our dedicated service for businesses — pre-employment medicals, drug and alcohol testing, occupational vaccinations, and workplace wellness programs. If your employer is looking for a provider, we'd be happy to talk.

There's more in development, including some changes to how we offer chronic disease management. We'll write about each as they go live.

A regular series of health articles

This article is the first in what will become a regular series. Each week, we'll publish something covering the topics our patients most commonly ask us about: travel health, workplace wellness, skin checks, chronic disease management, vaccinations, mental health, and more.

The goal isn't to replace the conversation you have with your GP. It's to give you reliable, locally-relevant information you can read before or after an appointment — so you can ask better questions, understand what's being recommended, and feel more in control of your own health.

Each article is written or reviewed by someone on our clinical or operational team, so you'll know exactly who's behind what you're reading.

Staying in touch

If you'd like to keep across what's new:

  • Bookmark our articles page and check back weekly
  • Follow your local clinic on Facebook — we share new articles, updates on hours, and clinic news there
  • Subscribe via RSS if you use a feed reader — there's a feed link in our website footer

And as always, the most important thing you can do is call your local clinic or book online if there's anything you need. We're here.
